Product Description

QUENCHING AQUA is an water-soluble polymer based quenching oil used for hardening application with induction.

Application/Usage

It is used in surface hardening process of low alloyed and non-alloyed steels, high alloyed steels and hardened aluminum alloyed materials on machine tool of induction hardening.

It is used mixing with water, typical cooling rates are as specified in the table according the concentration. The volume of the mixture tank affects the usage life of mixture. Generally min. 1,0-1,5 m3 bath is needed for every 100 kg hardened material. The mixture is mixed continuously during the process, and the temperature of mixture should be kept between 20-40oC. If the bath temperature increases above 40oC, it must be cooled with serpentines. It is recommended that the total hardness of water used in preparing mixture is 10 0dH.
